Film review "DATE NIGHT" (2)

"Date night" is a very romantic comedy with a great deal of action scenes with cars and guns. Although before watching this film I was under the impression that this will only be another bad comedy where two grownup actors from the fields of TV comedy will try to act funny in order to appeal to a variety of audience members, I was wrong – the film had not only a fair share of appealing humor, but was also fairly packed with many well known Hollywood stars, such as Mark Wahlberg,, Will.i.am, Ray Liotta, Mark Ruffalo, Mila Kunis and many more.

Steve Carell and Tina Fey play a very regular couple with two children who on one normal Friday night decide to go out to dinner to a fancy restaurant, but as it turns out one has to book a table a month in advance. What they do is they get a table under a different name and then are quick to realize that they should have thought it through twice – they get to be hunted by two guys with guns who think that they have stolen from an underground mafia boss.

Since the story takes place during one evening or one night the way it is being told is rather fast, but not messy. That keeps the audience in a constant attention upon the happenings.

If however you are not too familiar with the previous works of these two wonderful comedians or not a great fan of their work you might feel a little bored although the humor tends to be rather plain simple and down to earth basic human interaction related.
